What is treated

Six concerns. One method.

Black magic, jinn, a disturbed house, the evil eye, envy, and protection. Each is met with the same ruqyah: the Quran and the Sunnah, and nothing beside them. The order of a sitting does not change with the name.

01

Black magic Sihr

Harm worked by unlawful means. Answered with ruqyah, and with nothing else.

Sihr is not met with more sihr. A sitting is recitation from the Quran and the supplications reported in the Sunnah, then a clear instruction to leave every charm, pact, or practice that conflicts with tawhid — the oneness of Allah. If something was found, written, buried, or worn, say so when you write. Do not add to it, and do not keep wearing it.

02

Jinn possession Jinn

A presence or a hold that does not belong. Met with the Quran, not with conversation.

Jinn are created beings. They are not partners with Allah, not oracles, and not a means of treatment. This practice does not call them, question them, or bargain with them. Ruqyah is recited for the person affected. If a physician is already involved, that care continues without a pause.

03

Haunting Asaib

A house or a room that has turned unsettled, recited over with the people who live in it.

Some harm is reported in a place rather than in one body. Ruqyah is given for the home. The household is then told what to keep: prayer, the morning and evening remembrance, and the removal of anything that should not be there. Ordinary causes — illness, pests, a fault in the building — should be checked as well.

04

Evil eye Nazar

A sudden decline after a look, praise, or a blessing that was shown.

The eye is affirmed in the Quran and the Sunnah. It is often sudden: health, a child, work, or ease that was sound and then was not. Ruqyah for it uses the recitation and the supplications reported for the eye. Admiration itself is not the harm. Harm is feared when a blessing is looked at with no remembrance that it is from Allah.

05

Envy Hasad

The wish that a blessing be removed — from you, or the envy you want out of yourself.

Hasad is not the same as the eye, though the two are often named together. It is the wish that good leave another person. Ruqyah is given for the one who is envied. The one who feels envy is told to treat it in himself: ask Allah for the good, and do not seek its removal from someone else.

06

Protection and ruqyah Ruqyah

Recitation and household practice before a named harm has arrived.

Not every request begins with a crisis. A home can be recited over. A person can be shown the morning and evening remembrance, and the ruqyah they can keep for themselves. If you are unsure whether anything is wrong, say that. A name for the problem is not required to begin.
